What’s On:
• Street food and local traders
• Fun fair
• Bonfire
• Licensed bar in partnership with Saffron Walden Rugby Club
• Food Stall in Partnership with Saffron Walden Community Football Club
• Fireworks finale

Compère: Stuart Vant, keeping the atmosphere lively all evening.

All proceeds go back into good local causes.

The event will feature music, glow goods and food stalls. 

We will have all the fun of the fair as normal.

It's a donation based event and a donation of £5 per person is suggested for entry.

Bonfire Night has been celebrated in Britain for over 400 years. What began as a day of thanksgiving after the failed Gunpowder Plot in 1605 has grown into a much-loved tradition. Every November, communities gather around bonfires to enjoy fireworks and mark the occasion together.

Here in Saffron Walden, our fireworks on The Common have become one of the town’s biggest and best-loved events. This year marks the 59th year of our display.


Entry has never been ticketed. Instead, we ask for donations. Those donations are vital, but this approach ensures the event is open and inclusive for everyone.
