The rain clouds cleared and the sun shone down on 80 golfers taking part in the Saffron Walden Round Table Charity Golf Challenge on Friday 1st October. A great day for everyone saw 20 teams tackle the beautiful Saffron Walden Golf Club course to win the overall title plus chances to win a new Audi car, cash and an array of wonderful prizes donated by local businesses. It was a very keenly contested day, whilst also ensuring a relaxed and fun atmosphere, with Eamon McCourt winning the individual event by one shot, and the Duke of York team taking the overall team prize and title of champions.

“A fantastic day, raising money for local community causes whilst also having a lot of fun in the process” said the Round Table event organiser. “We would especially like to thank Foster Developments for sponsoring the event and all the local businesses for their kind donations of prizes, including Saffron Walden Golf Club, Peasgood & Skeates and Cambridge Audi. A special thanks goes to all of the volunteers on the day including the invaluable help of The Diamonds”

Without donations and support at all of our events we wouldn’t of been able to help local causes we have given too over the years. Since 2018 we have helped over 50 individual requests as well as supporting others.
